This guide explains Arada Bet bet settlement rules for players in Ethiopia, including winning and losing bets, void bets, refunds and cancelled events. It shows how stakes and decimal odds affect returns, and what to check when a result looks incorrect. These are general settlement principles, not confirmation of every operator-specific rule. The exact treatment depends on the sport, market, official result and published Terms and Conditions.

What Bet Settlement Means at Arada Bet

Settlement is the calculation of a bet after the relevant result is confirmed. A pending bet has not yet received a final outcome. Once processed, a bet may have one of these statuses:

  • Won: the selection met the market’s winning conditions.
  • Lost: the selection did not meet those conditions; the stake is not returned.
  • Void: the bet is cancelled for settlement purposes, usually with the stake returned.
  • Partially void: only part of the stake or selection is cancelled, where market rules allow this.
  • Cashout settled: if cash out is available on your market and accepted, settlement follows its terms rather than the original potential return.

How Winning Bets Are Calculated

Decimal odds show the total return for each unit staked, including the original stake. Return and profit are different: profit is what remains after subtracting the stake.

Potential return = stake × decimal odds
Net profit = potential return − stake

Example 1 — winning single: ETB 100 at odds of 2.50 produces a gross return of ETB 250 and a net profit of ETB 150. Ethiopian Birr (ETB) amounts here are illustrative, before any applicable deductions.

Example 2 — losing single: if that selection loses, the return is ETB 0 and the player loses the ETB 100 stake.

Bonus-funded bets and free bets may use different calculations, including whether the promotional stake is returned. Check the applicable promotion terms on the Arada Bet bonus code page.

Single Bets, Accumulators and System Bets

A single bet covers one selection. An accumulator or multi bet normally requires every active selection to win, unless its market rules specify otherwise. One losing selection normally makes the whole accumulator lose.

A void selection in an accumulator is usually assigned odds of 1.00. This removes its contribution to the combined odds without cancelling the remaining selections.

Example 3 — accumulator: stake ETB 100; selection A wins at 1.80; selection B is void at original odds of 2.00; selection C wins at 1.50. Final odds are 1.80 × 1.00 × 1.50 = 2.70. The gross return is ETB 270 and profit is ETB 170.

A system bet consists of several combinations rather than one accumulator. Each combination is settled separately. A void selection may reduce the effective size or alter the active combinations, depending on the system rules.

What Is a Void Bet?

A void bet is treated as neither won nor lost. For a standard cash single, the stake is usually returned; odds of 1.00 mean no profit is generated. In most cases, the stake is returned after the market is reviewed.

Possible reasons include:

  • A cancelled event, or an abandoned match not completed within the permitted settlement period.
  • A player not participating, where the market’s participation rules require voiding.
  • Obvious pricing errors or a market offered incorrectly.
  • Duplicate entries or technical errors affecting the bet.
  • An unconfirmed official result or a material change to the event format.

These circumstances do not automatically make every affected bet void. The applicable market and error-handling rules determine the outcome.

Refunds and Returned Stakes

A refund returns the stake; it is not a bonus or a winning payout. Cash stakes generally return to the main balance. Promotional stakes may return to a bonus balance or receive another treatment under the promotion terms. A disputed refund may require manual review.

Example 4 — refunded single: a cash stake of ETB 80 on a void selection returns ETB 80. The net profit is ETB 0, regardless of the original odds.

Cancelled, Postponed and Abandoned Events

Cancelled means the event does not take place. Postponed means it moves to another time. Abandoned means it starts but is stopped before completion. A suspended market is temporarily closed to new bets; suspension alone does not void accepted bets.

If an event is postponed, Arada Bet may keep the bet open until completion within the official settlement period. If it is not completed within that period, the bet may be voided. Do not assume a universal deadline: read the Terms and Conditions before placing bets.

Football Bet Settlement Rules

Standard 90-minute football markets usually cover regular time plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts. Extra time or penalties count only when the market explicitly includes them, such as an applicable qualification market.

Own goals, VAR decisions and official score corrections can affect settlement. A team goal does not necessarily count as a named player’s goalscorer result. First goalscorer, anytime scorer and other player markets also depend on participation and substitution rules.

After abandonment, only markets whose outcomes were already conclusively determined may remain eligible for settlement under the rules. Check the relevant market details in Arada Bet football.

Live Bet Settlement and Odds Changes

Live bets follow the same basic settlement principles, but acceptance can involve a delay. Odds may change before confirmation, and a bet may be rejected if the price moves. The accepted ticket—not an earlier displayed price—is the reference for your bet.

Suspended markets cannot accept new bets. Final settlement follows the designated official data source and market rules, not necessarily the score shown in a live animation. Review the available markets in Arada Bet live.

When a Bet May Be Recalculated

Recalculation may follow an official result correction, a wrongly linked player, team or event, corrected provider data, a technical settlement mistake, or incorrect application of market rules.

If a settlement error is found, Arada Bet may adjust the result according to its official rules. Check your bet history and contact support if the balance does not match the expected outcome. A correction can increase or decrease a previously credited return.

How to Check Settled Bets in Your Account

  1. Use Arada Bet login to access your account.
  2. Open bet history or transaction history.
  3. Select the settled ticket.
  4. Compare the stake, accepted odds, market, status and return.
  5. Contact support if the calculation appears incorrect.

Account labels may differ between the website and app. Settlement to your betting balance is separate from withdrawal processing.

Disputes, Corrections and Support

Provide the bet ID or ticket number, date and time, event name, market name, and a short explanation of the issue. Include a screenshot if available, but never share your password or security codes.

FAQ

What does void bet mean at Arada Bet?

Void means the selection is excluded from normal win-or-loss settlement. For a standard cash single, this usually returns your stake without profit. For an accumulator, it usually changes that selection’s odds to 1.00. Check the ticket and applicable rules, because promotional stakes and partially void markets can receive different treatment.

How are winning bets calculated?

Multiply the accepted decimal odds by your stake to calculate the gross return. Subtract the stake to find the net profit. For example, ETB 200 at 1.75 returns ETB 350, giving ETB 150 profit. This assumes a standard cash bet; promotion terms and applicable deductions may change the credited amount.

What happens if one accumulator selection is void?

The void selection normally stops contributing to the combined price, because its settlement odds become 1.00. The remaining selections still need to satisfy their winning conditions. A void leg does not protect the accumulator against another losing leg. If every leg is void, the cash stake is typically returned under the applicable rules.

Are extra time and penalties included in football settlement?

Usually not for a standard 90-minute result market. Stoppage time is included, but extra time and penalty shootouts are separate. Markets such as “to qualify” may use a different basis. Read the exact market description on your accepted ticket rather than assuming that the eventual tournament winner determines every football bet.

Can a settled bet be corrected, and how do I dispute it?

A settled bet may be corrected when an official result or settlement error changes the proper outcome. First compare your ticket with the applicable market rules. Then send support the ticket number, event, market, timestamp and explanation. Ask which rule was applied, and retain the response for any further review.
